Webinar: Start your Career in Germany- Study Humanities in Berlin, Munich, or the Ruhr region

DAAD USA launched a free series of webinars presenting German universities in 30 minutes. This upcoming webinar will feature international humanities degrees in English at the Freie Universität Berlin, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the University Alliance Ruhr universities.

Freie Universität Berlin and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) are two of Germany’s top ranked universities dedicated to excellent teaching and innovative research. Many programs – especially on the graduate level – are taught in English. Dr. Katja Simons, Head of the New York based joint liaison office of Freie Universität Berlin and LMU Munich, will highlight the humanities by focusing on study programs, research centers and clusters of excellence at both universitites. The presentation will also feature some practical tips for applying to undergraduate and graduate programs.

The Ruhr region is one of Germany’s largest academic hubs with a strong global network. The UA Ruhr is an alliance between Ruhr University Bochum, TU Dortmund University, and the University of Duisburg-Essen, the three largest universities in Germany's thriving Ruhr Area. The Ruhr universities are institutions of Academic excellence with an extensive network of interdisciplinary research centers, graduate schools and research groups. The Ruhr region is Europe’s third largest metropolitan region and one of Germany’s biggest melting pots with students and faculty from all over the world. The close partnerships between our universities and regional as well as international institutions are key to the success of our graduates.

After a short introduction of the three UA Ruhr universities and the Ruhr region, webinar attendees will learn about humanities research areas and institutions, study programs and requirements.
