Short-Term Winter & Summer Study

Munich International Summer University (MISU)

Students can choose between attending a summer academy that despite its name, take place during the winter and summer, or a language course with MISU.

Summer Academies are demanding courses or short-term research programs in economics, natural sciences, social sciences, and the humanities. MISU offers programs for all levels of study – for international bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral students, and for young professionals as well. The courses last between 2 and 10 weeks and are complimented by a cultural program, designed to be enriching as well as great fun.

German language courses welcome all levels and purposes. With small groups, excellent and committed teachers, intensive instruction, an inspiring environment, each course lasts for about 4 weeks and is usually offered in August.

Some courses offer fee waivers for students that attend a Partner University of LMU Munich.

Overall, it was a very memorable and meaningful experience. I had a lot of “first‐times” there. I would definitely recommend this program to everyone that is interested in doing a study abroad or exchange.
