Einstein Foundation Berlin Gave Awards to Three Doctoral Programs
On January 18th the Einstein Foundation presented awards for the three best doctoral programs in Berlin to the Berlin Graduate School Muslim Cultures and Societies, the Graduate School of North American Studies, and Berlin Mathematical School. Two of the programs are based at Freie Universität Berlin, while the third is co-organized by the university. Over the next three years, the awarded programs are scheduled to receive a total of around one million euros. For the duration of the three year funding period, the graduate schools are bestowed the title of Einstein Doctoral Programmes.
The Einstein Award for Doctoral Programmes (EDP) is granted to provide the doctoral programs with extra funding to not only promote junior researchers, but also to enhance their structural expansion. The awards are typically bestowed upon programs within Berlin’s universities and Charité Medical School Berlin.
