Doctoral Grants at Berlin Graduate School of North American Studies
The Graduate School of North American Studies at the John F. Kennedy-Institute at Freie Universität Berlin invites applications for seven doctoral grants for the academic year 2018/2019.
The School's interdisciplinary program seeks to analyze changes in North American societies past and present. The curriculum is interdisciplinary and taught by faculty members from all six departments of the John F. Kennedy Institute (cultural studies, economics, history, literary studies, political science and sociology).
Eligible applicants must have a completed degree (Master or equivalent) in American Cultural Studies, American Literature, History, Political Science, Sociology, and Economics or a related discipline and are expected to submit an outline of their doctoral research project.
Doctoral grants are awarded by the DAAD's Graduate School Scholarship Programme (GSSP) as well as the German Research Foundation (DFG).
The application deadline is January 31, 2018.
