PhD Program at International Max Planck Research School Translational Psychiatry
IMPRS-TP’s research aim is the translation of basic and clinical research into practical solutions for improved diagnosis and treatment of people affected by psychiatric disorders such as depression, schizophrenia, mood and anxiety disorders.
IMPRS-TP provides interdisciplinary training in molecular, cellular and systemic psychiatric research to outstanding doctoral students in an environment of scientific excellence and collaboration to foster translational research. During the course of their studies, students are exposed to a wide range of scientific questions and methods covering areas of molecular medicine, neuroscience, psychiatry, neuroimaging, design-based stereology and clinical studies.
IMPRS-TP welcomes applications from doctoral candidates coming from any country who hold a 4 year Bachelor or Master of Science (or an equivalent degree) in a relevant field or a Medical Degree. Applications from trainee medical doctors with laboratory experience are particularly encouraged.
