Robert Frye is an Emmy award winning producer and director. His recently completed documentary “In My Lifetime: The Nuclear World Project” tells the story of nuclear weapons from their creation to the present day. Since the dawning of the nuclear age, there has been a tremendous struggle over how to deal with the most destructive weapon ever invented. Now, events have overtaken the conversation and debate and a new arms race has begun with state actors developing weapons unconstrained by test ban treaties and proliferation limits. This film, after presenting a concise history, objective facts and graphic, new footage concerning the horrors of nuclear weapon usage, presents a simple and compelling case for action though conciliation and the international community. Meant to be a wake up call for humanity, this film will help to develop an understanding of the realities of the nuclear weapon, and to facilitate a dialogue on what is being done to find “a road to sanity. Filmmaker Robert Frye and his colleague, Don Glascoff, an Academy Award winning producer, will join for a screening at 6:30 pm, followed by a conversation after the screening.
